According to Ric Bucher of ESPN, Mitch Kupchak is fighting to not be so quick to trade Kobe Bryant. Both Jerry Buss and Jim Buss are eager to trade Bryant as the issue has become emotional personal for them.
"As for Bryant, he isn't going anywhere unless Jackson says so. Evidently the entire Buss family - Jerry and Jim, not just Jeanie - has given Jackson personnel power. Everyone working together suddenly rubberizes Kobe's crutch that the front office is the problem. Not anymore. Meaning, the only way Bryant will be traded is he decides not to play defense and team ball."
Ric Bucher? are you fucking kidding me?...the least trustworthy source ever. he's made up so many ridiculous things regarding the current Kobe situation.

He only reported what he was told by Kobe most of the time, and if not from Kobe then from his agent. Its not his fault that Kobe changed his mind everytime he talked to someone else.
