Dr. Dre sued over alleged invasion of privacy

Three former City of Detroit employees are suing superproducer Dr. Dre for invading their privacy when he allegedly videotaped a conversation without their knowledge.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Wayne County Circuit Judge John A. Murphy did not rule in favor of a motion from Dre's attorneys to dismiss the case and said that he may let the case proceed. He will decide within a few weeks.
The paper reports that during a conversation in 2000 -- involving Greg Bowens, spokesman to then-Mayor Dennis Archer, then-police spokeswoman Paula Bridges and then-police Commander Gary Brown -- that the plaintiffs asked concert producers to refrain from showing a video containing nudity to an audience during a July 2000 concert, but they were videotaped in doing so.
That video footage was then later released via a DVD.
Dr. Dre's attorney, Herschel Fink, claims that the room the conversation took place in had several people entering and exiting with cameras, nullifying any expectation of privacy.
However, the former city officials claim the cameras were hidden.

This case was already settled in court 3 years ago.
