I thought I'd mention this:
I'll say that The Black Album is overrated by most people, caught up in the hype of his "retirement" (if you believed that shit for 1 second, slap yourself), hype of the big name producers, etc. The songs on there were mostly average, a couple crappy ones, and about 3 really good joints.
However, he did manage to drop a joint that I'd rate about a 9.5 outta 10. From the intro by a legend, when the beat drops in, and Jay's closest "Originators" flow since "Jigga What", topped off with a dope concept for attacking a track.
Bump this shit loud, trust me.

I definitely feel you about it being overated. personally, my favs on the album are threat, justify my thug, and encore.
