i haven't listened to 'songs' yet, but the whole '11:11' album is deliciously billie holiday influenced and bluesy as shit. really different from alot of the 'artier' stuff she would go on to do.

she also beat boxes a little on 'chemo limo' on 'soviet kitsch'

Those 2 albums and 'Soviet Kitsch' is her best work IMO. 'Begin To Hope' is ok but lacks a little due to its attempt to appeal to a more mainstream crowd.

she just had a show down at Wiltern. I went too late tickets were sold out. I was suprised that so many people listen to her stuff. She's amazing.
