YO!
Who All Out Here Really Feels Curtis Mayfield? Last Week, I Bought His Last Album (I Think) From 1996.  I Gotta Say It's Amazing , He's One Of The Only Artists That Was Just As Good When They Died As They Were At First.

I've Always Been A Fan Of His, And That Album Is Awesome... It's All Slow Stuff, Typical Of His, With Deep Words About Racism And Love And Peace And Stuff.  Roger Troutman's ALL over The Cd, He Plays Guitar, Drums, Keys, And of Course Talkbox.  Zapp Troutman Produced A Ton Of Tracks, Along With Curtis.  If Yall Don't Know The Circumstances Behind The CD, Curtis Was Paralyzed In The Early 90's? When A Lighting Truss Fell On Him On Stage.  His Voice Remained The Same Though, And The Whole Album Is Just Full Of Positive Messages From A Guy Who Had Fought Through A TERRIBLE Tragedy.  I'm Not Sure, But Didn't He Eventually Regain Feeling In His Arms, And Learn To Play Guitar Again?

I'm Also Into Curtis's Old Stuff, Of Course, I Mean The REALLY Old Stuff, When He Was With The Impressions, In The Early 60's.  The Song "People Get Ready" Is Great, And My All Time Favorite Of His Is "Gypsy Woman".

Sadly, Curtis Died About A Year Ago...

What Do Yall Think Of One Of The Most Underrated Musicians Of All Time?

Another Great Song Off That CD Is "For My People Who Are Darker Than Blue" Or Something Like That... Wow.

Another Great Old One Would Be "Finally Got Myself Together"

He's Unbelievable, So Talented.
