Does Kanye's European tour still have a green light?
« on: November 14, 2007, 08:56:04 AM »
Most of you know that he's touring Europe within a few days ("Glow In The Dark" tour). And since his mother died, I was wondering if the concerts are still going down.
I just called the concert venue here in Belgium (where he's performing this Sunday, November 18th) to be on the safe side and they told me that despite what happened, it's still going down. A relief for me, although Kanye got reason enough to cancel a tour right now.

Anyone from other countries who have heard something about Kanye cancelling some shows in Europe?

Thx for the help!

Interesting to hear that he's doing a show before he comes to Belgium...
Well like I said: the guys at the concert venue here in Brussels tell me that the show hasn't been cancelled and that it will definitely go down. But I'm still kinda sceptical...

Btw Anto: have you called the Zenith for info? Maybe you can give them a ring tomorrow...see what they tell you.

I heard Kanye cancelled his appearance at the Victoria Secret show in LA today. Another reason for me to be sceptical of his first few shows in Europe...

Anyone got more info?

I think people who bought tickets for a producer to come and rap for them should not get a refund.

If you would've fully read my first post, then you would've known how I felt about it as well.

^^^^Yeah, that's what I did.
But! Last night I checked a showbiz news programme and they confirmed that Kanye WILL indeed perform in Belgium tomorrow (Nov. 18th)! :) The weird thing is that he cancelled his show in Amsterdam, which is the day after. Doesn't really make sense, does it? But hey...I won't complain. Too bad for the Dutch Kanye West fans though, that must suck I imagine.

Press release from his management:

"Kanye West has been forced to cancel his 'Glow In The Dark Tour' performance in Amsterdam. He wants to thank his fans in Holland for their understanding at this time, and assures them that he will be back to perform for them at the first available opportunity."
