It's well known those rankings sucks. And the UEFA ones too. The top rated teams are Austria, Swiss, Greece and another one i don't remember. LMAO. C'mon.

as stated in another thread, they arent the top ranked teams. they are in pot 1 for the Euro 2008 draw because they are the home nations (Austria and Switzerland), they are the current cup holders (Greece) and did statistically the best in qualifying and the previous World Cup (Holland).

Even worse. Cause the nations that hosts the competition shouldn't have a free spot (and shouldn't be in pot 1). That's absurd. I can understand Greece, i mean they're the current cup holders, but Austria and Switzerland shouldn't be there. They had a rule like this one for the World Cup, if i'm correct, and they removed it. It's time to copy it for the Euro Cup. Pot 1 should have Italy, Greece, France & Germany.

91 Austria

WeŽll still win the Euro next year. Just watch.  :'(

Who is Austria's biggest player these days? Pogatetz? Back in the day HErzog was a great player, but not heard much from Austria in a while.

Hard to say to be honest lol. Probably Andreas Ivanschitz, he is also the only real leader we have. Pogatetz is good too, he definitely has the right attitude and playing in England is always a good thing but he hasnŽt been in the national squad for quite some time cause there were problems between him and the trainer. How do you know about Herzog and Pogatetz though? Where are you from?
