Young De's Street Album W/ B-Real & Damizza - November 28, 2007 By : Eddie

Many of our readers should be familiar with the Tangled Thoughts. They dropped one of the best indie albums of the year with their mentor Kurupt, "Philly 2 Cali," and since then the trio have ventured off into solo projects. After displaying his unquestionable skills on "Philly 2 Cali," group member Young De caught the attention of many heavy hitters on the West Coast. Two of the veterans that were feeling him, B-Real of Cypress Hill and Damizza, have teamed up with De to put together a guaranteed-classic street album.

"Audio Hustlaz Volume 1" is the name of the project, and it will feature all original production from B-Real and Damizza. After hearing a few tracks being recorded in the studio, DJ Skee was immediately hooked, and he's now on board to present the album. De's longtime mentor Kurupt wanted to get involved again too, so he is going to host it! The endorsement of all these big names is a huge a testament to De's talent as an artist, so we're definitely looking forward to hearing what they've cooked up for us.

You can expect the album to drop in mid-January. As always, you'll be able to get a free copy exclusively on Dubcnn when the project drops, and in the meantime we'll keep you updated with a bunch of crazy surprises!

If you have yet to hear some of De's music, we've got two tracks for you to check out today. The first is a collaboration betwen him and B-Real called "Audio Hustler."

The second track is De's single from the street album, and it's called "Patron." The track, produced by Damizza and "Jedi" Jared Moore, has an acquired taste to it, much like the tequila that it's named after! De said that he put the record out because he wanted to differentiate himself from the many other talented rappers around right now. The relaxed, mellow vibe of the song is truly something unique, so be sure to check it out and tell your friends about it.

De filmed a music video for "Patron" two weeks ago in Santa Barbara, and we have exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot that we will be dropping soon. As a celebration after "Patron" was played on the radio, De drank an entire bottle of the expensive hard liquor in one sitting, and the event was captured on film. Check it out below, and look out for appearances from Damizza, Jedi Jared Moore, and Guilty as well!

Since the bottle was already opened when he downed it in the first video, some people started to question if the whole segment was staged. To silence the haters, De brought the video camera back, went to the liquor store, and bought another bottle of Patron. He then opens the bottle right in front of the camera and starts to chug away. yo that patron shit was crazy!! i wonder how f*cked up dude was about 30 mins later.... i heard about game drinking whole bottles of hennessee at his shows, but i figured it was apple juice. LOL

I bin'bangin the fuck outta that patron track since dubcnn first put it on the site, shit is incredible

& audio hustlas is dope as fuck too, damn dude can rap like crazy haha and sing he talented as fuck

my internet slow but when i get to some fast shit ima watch all them videos haha
