Ant Banks Production Underrated.............

i know we had a thread about Daz but i was listnin to WC "The Shadiest One" and the track "The Shadiest One" that is a ant banks beat and its a fuckin banger, then it made me bump both TWDY CDs and there is some wack beats but most are fuckin good to me he contributted to that early 88-9x bay sound he did Spice 1 "let it be known" in 1988 and most of Spice 1 in 92, but how do you all feel about his solo albums

i usually keep Do or Die (for its laid back factor) and Big Thangs (For the amount of good beats and features Cube/tooshort/spice/pac) in my 10cd in the car i never take emm out i have allways loved that hook from "Time Is Tickin'" on big thangs
give this a lsiten banger

Ant Banks was underrated as hell. Didn't he say in a recent interview he still does music? He does it for the love of it. He basically said the music industry is shit.

I very much like a Ant Banks.  He produce a lot of the pimpin' music that I like.  That Dangerous Crew shit.  He need to bring that funk bake.

His early production was all kinda 'samey' to me. But TWDY's 'Lead The Way' in 2000 really opened my eyes (and ears). It was so crisp and funky and varied. It's my favourite Ant Banks production.

'Big Thangs' is OK but the mixing and mastering is so bad I can barely stand listening to it. I have to turn the volume way up on whatever I'm using to make it bump.
