D-12 Debuts at Number 1/New Layzie Bone
« on: June 27, 2001, 11:55:42 AM »
First off I'd like to start by saying D12 debuted pretty well, selling 371,000, a little under what was expected, but he outsold Mandy More (Debuted at 35...LOL..Biatch!), Sisqo (Number 7), Blink 182 (Numer 3) and Staind (Number 2)...And of course D12 (Number 1)...I bet it will sell even more the second week because "Purple Hills" is just catching on with the mainstream...Plus they got "Nutthin But Music" as the next single which will sell them a lot more...

Second, has anyone seen the new Layzie Bone (L-Burna) video? I think it's called "Listen." It looks pretty tight and it has Wish in it also...The album is tight...I would recomend it...well that's all i have to say...peace

wow they debuted at #1 with only 371,000 copies, that's good but not great, i thought they were gonna crack the 500,000 mark in the first week for sure, i think it would've sold about 750,000-1,000,000 if the first single would've been "ain't nuthin but music". i wonder how it's gonna do in the upcoming weeks, i think it'll sell about the same this week too, peace.

"Nuthin But Music" sounds wack to me.... sounds too much like they made it FOR tha radio and MTV...

"That's How"."Pistol Pistol", "Nasty Mind" and "Blow My Buzz" were tha best on tha album IMO.
