Apologies, guys. We are wrapping up Part 3 today, at which point it will be sent to The GodBody's manager to make sure all info is correct and ready to go online. I'm looking to drop it this week!

Ok thanks for the update .. goof for Dawaun to be part of the Dre team but to be honest .. this Parker-Baston-Dre team hasn't worked yet imo .. their work have resulted in average music .. I'm aware Dre has hired new musicians to create a new sound (plus Storch and Elizondo are doing their own thing) but Dre-Elizondo-Storch made incredible music .. if Detox ever comes out , the dopeness of the album will depend on Khalil , Focus and Hi-TeK to step up as co-producers (ala Mel-Man on 2001) ...

While I'm all for hearing the dudes you mentioned (Khalil et al) involved in "Detox," I suspect that Dawaun will play a prominent role in the project. If not the Mel-Man, co-producer role, than the recurring Scott Storch role of "2001." In the same way that "2001" was Storch's "unveiling," "Detox" could provide the same platform for Dawaun. In fact, I hope that is the case. He's a down to earth guy with a clear work ethic. Sure, I haven't been in the studio with him, but he seems deserving of such an opportunity.

Also, IMO, the team you mentioned (Parker / Batson / Dre) have still produced some great stuff. "Higher" is probably one of my favourite Dre beats of the past five years, and that was a Batson co-production credit I believe.

I don't like Mark Batson either, the stuff he did with Dre was boring. But Dawuan Parker is dope, he was heavily invovled in Big Bang and those beats were great and after hearing G.R.I.T.S all the doubts I had were gone. The instrumental is so dope, I can listen to it all day long (if anyone needs it, I can hook it up).

to quote myself:
(maybe mark batson and dawaun parker are not as good as dre's former partners mike, scott and mel-man, but they are not bad at all imo).
i mean i still think that the departure of scott and mel-man is a huge loss. i'm not sure about mike; he was a nice addition to the team, but right after mel-man and scott left, he got more involved in the production process, and i didn't always like the final products of the dre & mike combo.
with the new team, i'm not sure what to think of it, since i've seen good(especially on the big bang album) and bad results. besides, i've only heard 2 solo productions by Mark Batson ( Hold down the block and street theology) and i liked both of them, but 2 tracks is not enough to judge. i'm actually more worried about Hi-Tek and Focus; so i hope their role for detox is small. i'd rather see Mark & Dawaun doing the majority of the production with dre. anyway, it's all a matter of taste  ;) and i have no idea what they have in mind for detox.

hopefully for Dawaun, he'll eventually become a succesful soloproducer; so it would make sense if he plays a similar role on detox as scott did on 2001.
