You don't need a player for that.  If you have an HDTV, all you need is the channel that you're watching has an HD signal and boom you're set.

You guys do know that there is no difference in picture right? Yeah the Blue-Ray disk can hold more memory but the fact is that NO MOVIE COMPANY will use up anything close to the memory the disk can hold. Blue-Ray players are a lot more expensive too so why would one want Blue-Ray to win? And I feel sorry for some PS3 idiots who claim that their games are in Blue-Ray LOL. They are still played in DVD format, same as the 360 so keep dreaming. Microsoft didn't want to take any chances on this war so that's why they made the HD-DVD player an option for people to buy. I honestly believe they don't give a fuck who wins. I was just pulling for HD-DVD because I already have some movies in that format with a player.

let me tell you something, at work i was fucking around the other day with our displays.

the pictures do appear to be the same on a 1080p tv however, the sound quality on blue rays sound better IMO.

Give it two years there will be something else on the market any way. Its pointless.

Gold-Ray. Gives a 2:1 ratio better aspect quality picture image on the brand new Gold-Ray movie screens. All together only $4000, whoooooo, go us. Lets get ripped off again.
