Well, Nostradamus wrote about certain cycles in the existance on earth. He never really gave any accurate dates for when his (suggestive) words would come true. An example:

"2/3 - 2000-2100
Because of the sun's heat on the sea
The fish from Negrepont will be parboiled
The inhabitants will come and eat them
When those in Rhodes and Genoa are starving."

There you have global warming. Let me add to that, this was one of the most obvious texts he's written.
