Far away from everything
Far away from my joys
Far away from my pain
Far away from my memories
Far away from you
Far away from truth
Far away from emotions
Far away from happiness
Far away from my heart

Anatomically, the heart is only inches away from the brain
But in my mind I feel I'm far away from everything

I'm far away from those times when she used to love me
I'm far away from when I could get through a whole day on the strength of her memory
I'm so far away from myself, I can't even remember what it meant to be close
I'm far away from my son... I'm far away from my moon....

I spent so much time, 25 years for what, 25 years to be far away?
I'm far from being a good poet, far from being a great writer

I'm far from being out of debt

I'm far from thinking positive
I'm far from my destination point,
I'm far from my brain,

If I look in the mirror, I'm far from my reflection, even if I kissed the glass

I'm far from a time when someone can come and erase this despondency
I'm far from my inspirations, I'm far from spirituality

I'm far from meeting someone again that can truly touch my life
I'm far from being with people who I know for sure I even like

I'm far from those wise words that help you through your day
I'm far from those times when I used to pray... 5 times a day

I'm sooo so far, I need to biuld my own island out on this endless ocean
And then just sit, and stare blankly as the waves crash into the sand
Peer off into the distance till my vision gets blurry
Dissolve into the horizon,

If you touch me I will dissolve into a thousand molecules

...Someone once told me, that I had a destiny
And that every footstep I take has already been written for me...

I guess that's good because then the burden is off of me,
Because if it was up to me I would dissolve into nothing.

Entering a new world with nobody to giude me,
Travelling blindly,
My visions blurry,
I'm waiting waiting, and waiting....

Guess this day was way deep,
I replay tapes in my mind before I sleep,
Of episodes of my life that seem to play out continuously,
Somewhere within me its like I'm still there with Ashley,

There were some days my mind was hiding behind a cloud of haze
Distant from my family and the friends in the nieghborhood,
Somedays I'd just melt mentally into the atmosphere,
And it was those days that you were there....
And made me feel when I wouldn't have normally felt,
You made it real at a time when I'd usually melt... into the horizon

My eyes watched you out the window, my lips longed to kiss you,
A day and a life that would have been lost
Ended with my lips locked with yours forever

And now that your gone,
Somedays I still dissolve into the horizon,
And those days I catch hell...
Because your not there to catch me

Well, maybe I'm eternally acting out the scenes,
Of you and me and broken dreams,

This life is long, why do people say that it is short?
