Wut up Shade! Thanx for the history lesson; I have always been a fan & Quik is my fav of all time so I knew "John Doe" would be classic. I also gotta give u props for Informal Introduction, it was a dope album and one my favorite track on there is "Walk A Mile". Now theres a song to get blazed to! One last thing before I end this, I really became a fan of yours after hearing "get yo head out yo ass" you brought it lyrically on that cut! I wish you continued success---keep pushin' dawg & represent that West!

You named 2 of my favorites as well.. "Walk a Mile" and "Playboy"

It was during tha "Playboy" session in Atlanta with Jermaine Dupri that I came up with the name Shade Sheist, as a matter of fact!

Good story Sheist. That's one you can tell your kids and grandkids for years to come, LOL. Quik and Devante in one room; damn, you should have tried to keep them there longer to do more beats. "John Doe" is what Westcoast music is all about. Amazing song.

What Up Shade Sheist! I remember coppin' your album the first day it came out, that John Doe track was always the shit, but the track Warren G hooked you up with was nice also that "wake up". Pretty much the whole album was hot to me. The Money Ownerz video where you had all them westcoast appearences in it was a good look. I for one appreciate when artists like yourself take time to holla at the fans, props on the story behind "john doe"

We'll see what we can do about a collab..
And I haven't spoken to Nate directly since the stroke but I got a message to him through Warren G recently.

but the track Warren G hooked you up with was nice also that "wake up".

Actually Kay Gee from Naughty by Nature produced "Wake Up".. as well as "Where I Wanna Be."
But Warren G was talkin in the background on "Wake Up"

If you're lookin for a hot Shade/Warren joint.. get "Bounce" from "Damizza Presents: Where I Wanna Be"
produced by Warren G and features TQ on the hook!

And I will holla at yall as time permits.. why not!?

cool story, its not often fans get in sight like this.
