Tha Dogg Pound 2002
« on: May 22, 2001, 07:58:38 PM »
Okay, i got the cgi error on that other post so i can't reply so i'ma reply here,: I'ma buy that shit: Dre and Hutch producin with all those dope guests minus the relatives and skg=DOPE!
It is whack that Daz ain't producin tho.,...and how the HELL did they get Xzibit???Maybe Death row is tighter with peeps than we think,it looks tight to me, i hope dre did alot, dre produced just doggin from sunset park? it sounded ambiguously dre/daz to me, sooooo is it or is this a dre remix which would be dope as fizzyeenyuck??? reply,peace-Tanjint

I've been thinking about the Xzibit stuff i'd say he probalbly did it in like 1995 or whatever i doubt he went into the Death Row studio now and "added" his vocals to the DPG stuff ....

death row cant release any unheard material by Dre or Daz, cuz they took their masters with them.

therefore Just Doggin will probably be the ONLY dre production on the album and im sure it will be the same as the old version
(btw who heard the first version of that song on the above the rim movie? it sounded dope)

and Hutch is dope as fuck to me, but i know i wont like his beats on this album better than daz's original shit. lets just hope the ATL album comes out sometime this century

Exactly! How the fuck did they get Mr X ta Tha Z?...Maybe he recorded a track with Crooked I back in late 99 when they were cool, and Crooked I got to keep the track, and moved on to Death Row and gave the track to Suge, and Suge used Xzibits verse on a Dogg Pound song...Who knows?

true true, but if daz legally owns the masters to his music, even if suge found a reel of daz beats in suge boyfriends ass he still couldnt release it. but its confusing to me why daz doesnt own his vocals.

Could'nt Jay-Z & Xzibit not give them permission to use them on the tracks?

I can see the album credits now:

Jay-Z appears un-courtesly of Roc-A-Fella Records
Xzibit appears un-courtesly of Loud Records
but fuck it we used them anyway.
