Dre & Eazy

I was trippin' off of how quick people jump on Dre for not writing his own rhymes when Eazy didn't write his and he's considered the godfather of gangsta rap. That never made sense to me. I don't wanna speak bad about the dead, but Eazy brought less to the table when it came to the N.W.A. projects. Dre & Yella were makin beats while Cube, Ren, & D.O.C. were writing rhymes. Eazy just read the lyrics they wrote for him and rapped to the beats they produced. N*ggas say Eazy started it when it was Ice Cube that wrote his first rhyme (Boyz N The Hood). And even when everybody shook Eazy he had n*ggas like Knocc Out, Dresta, Yella, & ATL writin' & producin'. I like E just as much as the next man, but I don't like how n*ggas can down one man & praise another that did less than the other.

Dofferent era. Back in them days no one got on anybody for not writing shit. Sugar Hill Gang, the first commercal rapper didn't write their own shit, and it was rare in the commercal word. Hell M.C. Hammer was praised that he wrote his own shit. After awhile though, M.C. started bragging more about writing there own shit, mainly to put down Dre who was on top. Now it's basically every rapper but Dre writes their own shit. So Dre just survived long enought to be in two different eras.

Like I have constantly said, who really gives a fuck? As long as the music is sizzlin I don't care if they can do a handstand, a backflip or anything else. As long as I get my moneys worth.

Eazy was the leader-That's what he gave to the group. That might not seem like much, but think about it-He put together two talented members of WCWC, one talented member of CIA, and a childhood friend, all of whom previously had been rivals, and created a true rap supergroup.
Dre writes some of his own stuff, more than Eazy did, for clarification.
But as Assassin says, as long as it sounds good, writing your own stuff doesn't mean anything.

Didn't "Str8 Off Tha Streetz" come out in 95'?
I'm pretty sure it did.... I have it.. just dont feel like taking it out to check...
Well yeah... I think that CD is worth having... one of Eazy's Best if you ask me...
"Lousville Slugger"
"What Would You Do?"
"Creep N Crawl"
"Muthafuckin Real"
!!All tight songs!!
I think it's better when tha rapper writes his own Lyrics though..... means their more talented and to me... makes them more real. More real, not meaning More Gangsta.... More Real in the sense that what they're sayin is what they really think and feel.
And if they aint writing their own shit then they're basically gettin paid to read...
Shiiiit, I can read pretty good... why am I sittin here looking for qaurters?

I have respect for Dre, because he stated he was a producer, not a rapper.
I think more people are quick to get on Dre because that nigga was supposivly soft and what not. Even though Eazy didn't write his lyrics, you know that it was a real ruthless nigga spittin' it. To me, it gets kinda old when niggaz get up on the micc and start spittin' lies, and unfortunatly it's becoming to be repetitive. Oh well, that's just me.

People Are More Quick To Get On Dre Because Of 1 Thing.... People Hate Fags, And Eazy Pulled The Biggest Diss Ever By Labeling Dre A Fag And Showing A Pic That Everybody Thought Looked Like A Fag. As Much As I Love Dre, Eazy Tripped HARD On Dre....
Dre Was Talkin' About Killin' Eazy, All This Shit, And Eazy Went 1 Up And Said Dre Was Gay, And Offered Proof... Homophobic People Immediately Suspected It, And He's Never Shook It, That's What Happened...
It's Like If I Say "Ice T's A Child Molestor!" And Yall Know That I've Known Ice T For Years... No Matter WHAT He Says, Or Offers As Proof, Peeps Are Always Gonna Think He's A Child Molestor.
For Instance, Dre Had Like 5 Kids When He Started The Chronic! Then He Was Still Bangin' Michelle, And Now Suges Got The Sloppy Seconds, And Still Claimin' Dre's Gay.... Then He Had 2 Kids AFTER He Did The Chronic With his Wife, And Yet, It Still Persists...
Taboo!
