I know that this probably been discussed plenty of times before but i mean real talk westcoast had oppurtunities like back when
Dre's 2001 and when Game's Documentary came out. What do you think really went "wrong" or what should they have done?
Like for instance, dead all the beefs earlier? Release more tracks together? Game and Dre should've put out more artists? Is the westcoast really blackballed? Like what do u think?

There's plenty of reasons why the West has been sort of out of the game the past few years. Label politics, the general taste in music among mainstream fans, the music industry as a whole, etc...

The way I see it, each region in the U.S. goes through its ups-and-downs. The West was on top in the early 90's, then it was the East around the late 90's (the Jay-Z/DMX/Mobb Deep era) and around 2000 it was the South's turn to be in the spotlight.
However, around the time of the millennium was also the moment when the West seemed to be stepping into the spotlight again: the release of '2001', Xzibit's album, Tha Eastsidaz, etc...

So, with all of these New West artists just waiting to step up (a lot of these guys already have signed conctracts) I hope that it's just a matter of time for them to drop an album.
We - as the fans - just gotta continue to support these West Coast artists. From the guys we've already heard of (Aftermath affiliates for example) to the ones we've never even heard of. Those are the ones who need our support the most. DubCNN.com premieres a lot of of new material from up-and-coming rappers but those topics get barely any feedback most of the time. That's a damn shame. If WE don't even support these artists, who else will? Seriously.

Yeah i feel you but when you look at it people are still checkin for Game, Snoop, Dre, Jay Rock, Ya Boy and a few more so i dont think it has anything to do with tase to be honest cuz if you ask a person that don't like westcoast music RIGHT NOW most of the time they dont have a reason why. If you look at the eastcoast they reason may be cuz they dont really have many up n comin artists, the once they do have is on that "dipset swagga/5 star blood" fake bullshit. And the south....well you already know. The west is still droppin heavy shit without havin to yell BAAALLIN, Ay Bay Bay
or YOOOOUL but it seems like they dont even play the shit. They probably wont even play Jay Rocks new single even though he got WAYNE, I just dont understand.

But if we really are blackballed i mean what do u think we should do cuz they cant just keep droppin dope music and expect it to happen IF we really are blackballed.

And these niggas gettin radioplay is it bcuz the little kids vote for the tracks and shit? Maybe more westcoats cats should do that..

east coast got as many up and comming acts as we got out here!!!,and a major problem with us is we feel the need to be connected to someone all the time, fucc going through other muthafuccas, just go throughout the west and build up your name,it's more states then just cali, and alot of times we just focus on trying to get the local streets and the bay to bacc it,but you need more then that, the south got a gang of STATES INVOLVED!!!, Ny always tried to close off others as well, they let philly get a lil shine and jersey, but they still treat them like step children, and always go bacc to the we started rap so we should be first, fucc all that.we do that same shit in cali.this hip hop, rap, and gangsta rap is more then just street equals, tv and radio is gonna go after whats hot,so the fans got to keep demanding more.

dre can drop detox now and it can be a classic but that don't mean the west will be bacc,to be bacc you have to have material comming from everywhere ON THE WEST!!!!!!,one or 3 dudes can't just be one's!!!!. we put all our faith in one dude before. tupac, and then he died and we didn't know what the fucc to do (on the mainstream and sales level),yeah we had snoop dre and  cube and company still doing it big,but we put pac on a level where he was unreachable, and that made everything else (even tho it was good or classic) seem like it's a step beneath. what glasses and company have been doing is good, but now we have to all make sure it translates into doing some good for the coast, cause a couple of new rich equals don't mean shit for the coast as a whole,so just keep supporting and get  A  COUPLE OF GOOD DJ'S UP AT THESE RADIO SHOWS,AND A GOOD TV PERSONALITY ON TV TO REP OUR MUSIC TO A MORE MAINSTREAM CROWD YELL
