SO there is a house music radio staton I listen to quite frequently, cause I really like that kind of music. But on that station they often play some chillout shit, and some funky jazzy shit I can't really deermine as a concrete genre.

Last night the DJ that played the songs on a once a week show called Groovy Sessions did a 1 hour special for the label Acid Jazz. Here's the tracklist so you could get an idea of what kind of music exactly they play on that show

(Acid Jazz special)
14 / akimbo / akimbo / on top / acid jazz / 1998
15 / the brand new heavies feat. gang starr / it's gettin hectic / heavy rhyme experience - volume 1 lp / acid jazz / 1992
16 / the james taylor quartet / 3 mile island / in the hand of the inevitable / 1995
17 / mother earth / mister freedom / the people tree / acid jazz / 1993
18 / corduroy / electric soup / dad man cat / acid jazz / 1992
19 / vibraphonic / heavy vibes / vibraphonic 2 / acid jazz / 1995
20 / snowboy / the new avengers / new avengers / acid jazz / 1996
21 / nu perspective / hip hop beat / va - the best of acid jazz vol. 3 / acid jazz / 1996
22 / the apostles / come together / the apostles / acid jazz / 1992
23 / rose windross / living life your own way / living life your own way 12” / acid jazz / 1991
24 / bill withers / use me / still bill / sussex / 1972
25 / raw stylus / use me (main mix) / use me 12” / acid jazz / 1993
26 / new jersey kings / dream waves / stratosphere breakoown / acid jazz / 1995
27 / cloud nine / peace & love / millenium / acid jazz / 1993

So when I heard that track I felt mad refreshed.I've never even suspected I would hear a gangstarr song from '92 on the radio. And listening to it on the radio is quite different that playing it elsewehre, cause you get that vibe you know? It's like you're back in 92 and hearing that joint on the radio for the first time  :)

On a side note, the other songs they played on that one hour special were really good, so feel free to check them out

Oh and the whole heavy rhyme experience LP seems banging, featuring the pharcyde, masta ace, grand puba...the large pro joint is :O
