DJ Quik on "Ego Trippin"
« on: March 20, 2008, 03:54:26 AM »
Hey yall.

It's been a while....I have basically been bathing in that Cosmic Slop, I got beemed up to the Mothership and lost interest in rap for a minute.

I am wondering about this Snoop Dogg joint though: I bought The Carpet record and was disspointet, so dont think I will be buying this one (too much funk to munch on anyway).

But due to the fact that the Quik forum is no longer up, I was wondering if someone could be me the scoop on Quik's work on this one?
Is he good, how many beats/raps does he do??

Thanks yall....

ewwwwwwwww

I think he also coproduced Them Gurlz.  Naturally, that one and press play are the 2 best tracks on the CD.

Them Gurlz has a sped up sample...just like older Kanye West...i like it, but i know some westcoast heads don't like that type of vibe.

"Press Play" is the best song on there, Quik should've done a few more tracks IMO
