DALLAS — Good news all around from the land of the limping and losing Lakers, even though none of the news really qualifies as great news for them.

Pau Gasol was off crutches and standing on his own, reporting he was feeling “much better” and even wandering onto the practice court to take some short, flat-footed shots. Not that it changes the fact that he’ll probably miss two weeks, but it’s a good indication for him just that the swelling was down enough for him to wear an untied shoe on his left foot.

Trevor Ariza finally got out of his walking boot today after a CAT scan showed sufficient healing in his broken foot. He was cleared to begin running on the elliptical machine, but Phil Jackson said Ariza still won’t be back in action in the regular season

Andrew Bynum has had no adverse reactions to the light treadmill work he began last week, which is important because there was some concern that he would have pain or swelling that might set him back. There remains some hope Bynum will get back in early April.

Bynum is going to cut it very close

it'll be interseting to see if he can fit in with the rest of the team and Gasol

I Agree, I Say The Lakers Shut Bynum Down For The Rest Of The Season. (& Post-Season)
Let Him Get His Proper Rest & Rehab For Next Year.

I Have More Hope We Get Mihm Back To Help Gasol instead of a 50% Bynum.

no way, you're nuts, we have a really good chance at winning the title this year, and kobe is turning 30 this year, no time to waste, bynum is healthy hes running on a treadmil, that means he can run, only thing is getting him back in shape, now ariza had a broken foot, that takes time. gasol should be fine very soon also.

Bynum is in a terrible position right now. Young and inexperienced, everybody around him hungry for the title - and everybody expects him to return and provide. Niggas gotta be shook.

Bynum shouldnt come back if he isnt completely 100%. Look at what happened to Amare Stoudemire when he came back early. It will only hurt the Lakers if he comes back and he is not fully healthy.

Hell no! If this were last year I'd agree but we have an excellent chance to go all the way this year. I'd say let him keep resting, bring him back in early April and let him come off the bench and play minimum minutes so he can get his rhythm back, then go hard in the playoffs.

Andrew Bynum is A Very Young Dude..
He has A Long Future ahead of Him, Coming back Too Early Can damage His potential.
Kobe Hitting 30 means Nothing IMO, That's prime years Kobe is About To Hit.
Bryant's Game Can Have Him Playin' well Into his late 30's, Cause of His superior Shooting Ability.
(The Dunk's And Flashy Play Are for the young who can't Ball & Make Up, But What? When the Hop's are Gone....)
These Lakers Have A Long Window for Success.
(Some Teams in This years Playoff Sceme Can't say The Same)

I'll admit This Season We have A Slight Chance To take it All.
But IMO, Too many Injuries To Key Players Including Kobe (Let's not Forget About The Right Hand!!)
Hurt Our Chances Alot, Way More than it Shows..
But At Full Strength Next Season is Our's.

Not That I'm Giving up On This Season, Just Being Realistic About Our injury's Including A.Bynum's Gameplay Once He Returns.
Ariza Is Most Likely Shut Down For the Reg Season..
Gasol will be 100% for the playoffs, I'm Positive 'Bout That.

Our Key's ..
Farmar & Sasha both Need To Attain their December Form
I Say We Should Look for Mihm Instead of Waiting for Bynum (This Season, If Bynum Comes back it's Bonus)
Fish needs to Average 10pts a game, So Kobe can regain Confidence In Him Again.
(If Not, I'm cool with Kobe jacking Up As Many Shot's As he Want's)

Odom's Slashing Ability has been The One Point I made In every Post about Lamar..
He is Almost Always Money in The post With His Lefty Shot off The Glass + Size & Length (Odom can match any F/PF)
His Post Moves Are Very High Percentage & Lead To Either A Foul Shot or a Layup/Dunk.

Let's get Ronny In the Starting 5 to replace Vlad Rad/Walton (Once Gasol returns).

I have Already Accepted The Lakers As is this Season, & It Don't Include Bynum. (Let's Not Rush The Kid)
It Will be A Miracle If Bynum can return To even 50% Of What he began this Season.
(But hey, I can't Wait to be Proven wrong)

We already know what Bynum does when the pressure is on. 8)

Is that why he improves his game every year?

Is that a fact or just your purple and yellow glasses speaking?

I'd say Kobe's game has stepped down compared to last year or the year before
