I Need To Slap The Photography Company At The Monte Carlo Hotel In Vegas

3 weeks ago, my girl and I got married at the Wedding Chapel at the Monte Carlo Hotel in Las Vegas. Got a package that includes photos and a DVD since they don't allow people to stand up to take pics or Video. The pictures came out real nice (we got them within a day of the wedding) and the DVD was given to us right then and there at the end of the Ceremony. We were satisfied. But when we got home to watch the DVD, I realized that they incorrectly spelled out last name on the DVD Label. Thought "oh well, minor mistake." But then it's spelled incorrectly on the DVD itself, so I didn't want that. Called them up and asked them to replace it. They said they would send us a pre-paid package and we just have to send it back.

Simple right? Wrong. They never sent it. I had to call them back 2 or 3 times to finally get it sent to me. Once the pre-paid package got to my house, I sent back the DVD. Well, today Fed Ex dropped off the DVD to me. I opened it to make sure it was kosher and my name was spelled right on the label. Popped it in to be sure... and yup, the last name was spelled correctly on the DVD. So, I just let it play and to my fucking suprise, the next clip was of a ceremony. The chapel was empty... and I didn't remember that being in the DVD they gave us the first time. But I thought maybe they added some extra footage to make up for their mistake. But, boy was I wrong. The next thing I know, some 30 something couple walks and they're renewing their vows.

I couldn't believe it. These assholes fixed the name, but gave us the complete wrong ceremony. And, to top it off, the same muthafucker signed off on our DVD as the previous one claiming that he had "checked the quality of the DVD." So I called the assholes right away and told them what happened. The broads I spoke to couldn't believe it their damn selves. They told me I could keep the DVD I have (yaaaaay! Cuz I've always wanted to have a DVD of some random ass people renewing their vows) and they would reissue us ANOTHER copy of OUR ceremony with our names spelled correctly this time. Spelling names wrong is something I can kinda understand. It's a dumb mistake, but typo's happen. Now, putting someone elses ceremony with mine? That's ridiculous. These bastards better get it right this time.

ouch.....a stupid mistake like a typo shouldnt happen, but its somewhat understandable..but sending you the wrong ceremony SHOULDNT happen, especially when youre paying $1K or more...hopefully this time around they send you the right copy with your last name spelled correctly, and dont fuck up any further.

i got married back in 2005, the company doing the DVD seemed professional enough. went around to their offices etc and it was all good, they captured the day on video. gave them a call a month later to check on the dvd 'oh we're working on it', two months later, same thing.. three months etc.. got to like 6 months and one guy is like "we're having issues with it on the computer", so im like ok thats easy enough, tell me whats happening (since i work with computers), he's all 'oh i cant say..', about a month later i got out of one of them that they lost our footage about a week after the wedding and couldnt restore it from backups, now theyve closed up shop and i cant find any of them

Oh damn. That sucks. We have a family friend who does photography and filming for a living. He only charged us 400 for a DVD and like 100 photos. But he recorded mainly other things, aside from the chapel. He did record the ceremony, but we want the Chapels version as it has different angles and better sound.

Damn, you'd think they could get something so simple right. I hope you burned a copy of the original with the incorrect names. Just in case they erased the ceremony. If not, then I guess I'll catch y'all on the People's Court in a few weeks lol.
