Yeah the Baka Boys jumped from Power to The Beat and then dissapeared. Ed Lover and Dr. Dre did the morning show for the Beat and they dissappeared. Actually I saw Ed Lover doing commentary for this Sports-Entertainment show called "Battle Dome" (similar to American Gladiators) and he does K.O. Nation, a boxing show on HBO. Thats a big career stretch.
And didn't The Snoop Dogg radio show used to be on Power??

If he did, then he ended up on The Beat...

Hopefully they won't be stupid enough to drop him. If they do then I will lose all respect for the beat and give up on them. I already have since they only play 112, Sunshine Anderson and Jay-Z all day.

I think it is headed towards R&B...Im guessin In a year or so, we would be lucky to hear a rap song on The Beat...
Did you notice how The Beat and Power changed their slogans
The Beat used to be "No Colorlines" now it's "LA's New Home For Hip Hop and R&B"
Power used to be "Where Hip Hop Lives" now it's "Blazin The Most Hip Hop and R&B"....Radio was Tha Shit back in the days...Now they only play Whack Comercial songs, which gives you more reason to buy CD's, which causes you to be broke, which makes you become a homeless on the street, which makes your life suck...So if anything bad happens to you, you can blame it on The Beat....

Yea, but look, they are not the same anymore...They even got a new manager and owner, and I think they have different taste than the old managers...So they are kinda changing the format to more R&B than Hip Hop...

Well, he quit and that's why they had to get a new one...BTW, have you heard of Q1047 (104.7)..It's a rap station, barely any R&B and it's tight...It's in Bad Quality where I live, but it's tight...Have you heard it by any chance?

Yeah I know about 104.7. But it doesn't come in clear from where I live either. I can only listen to it when I'm downtown. They have some tight music though.
