rap all together will have faded just like rock of the 80's and alternative punk stuff of the 90's...both ruled there areas just like rap/hip hop is now...so i think in ten years rap will be around just not in such a high profile...there are too many fake, wack, sellout rappers( nelly, ja rule to name a few) that controll mainstream...  

nelly is not wack ,fake ,or sellout . nelly is one of the realest artist out there & Makes old school 80's style party rap . that is rap music before gangsta rap .nelly is good artist & makes great music.
