what does it mean to bang?what are you doing everyday?senseless shootings and dying for colors or has it more points?i mean

there's a new book out, called "Encyclopedia of Gangs" by LOUIS KONTOS and DAVID C. BROTHERTON, it has a lot of pages on the bloods and crips.
Interesting read! But from what I understand, crips fight bloods, bloods fight bloods and crips fight crips. There is no big unified crip gang with one leader, and the same with the bloods. It's all different neighborhoods.

Think of the environment these people grow up in, their father may be dead, locked up or bangin, same with their brothers and even sisters! You have gangsta rap that glorifies this way of life. For many who grow up in these conditions, It must be hard not to bang!

I don't know why he all of a sudden was putting that shit in his rhymes on his latest album but in his older songs he even says that he makes moves like a gangbanger but he doesn't bang... he's just from a Crip neighborhood from what I understand, just like Cube, but he isn't part of any set or gang

it's A gang Culture, i think that in itself should be pretty much self Explanatory...

I'm sure you can pick up any book from your local Book store that details how gangs in your part of the world operate..You Know?

rituals? what do you mean? crips and bloods aint like someone getting made in La Cosa Nostra LMAO...i dont think they have any "rituals" or "codex" except GET MONEY ALL DAY - EEERRRYY DAY, REP WHERE YOU FROM (rags, tats, banging on fools you have beef with), and have EACH OTHERS BACKS.

how motherfuckers make money? selling drugs, robbing, extortion, fuckin anything that brings in money, they do it.
 
how does one decide what set to claim? 99% of the time the choice is made for you..if you wanna join a gang 99% of the people who bang joined the gang that rules the block they live on.

i dont mean rituals, i mean shit like crossing letters out, who they type, all that 5 and 6 shit, (i know crips have their own alphabet).things like that.
and by codex i mean something like "thug life codex" that pac had.they must have a codex, one example for codex would be "snitches get killed or beaten up",etc.
