Listen!

I get frustated with rap ... sometimes I wish I would just not take it so serious, but I do, why? Cause I'm stupid!

Daz should be Daz, I seriously don't think he is being Daz by signing to Roc-a-fella ... when Snoop moved to No Limit everyone screamed , why? Because Deathrow was such a big label. It's like removing one of the members of Wu-Tang, its not regular, its off beat, the breathing stops for a while and you have to get used to it ... If the artist does good then everyone loves them, if the artists does bad, they hate him and don't like him, If snoop made THREE CLASSIC albums on No Limit people would have said it was the best move of his life, but he didn't and now its his worst ... Daz is just releasing mid-quality material like popcorn ... an album here, an album there, lets make another with this label, i have 12 more tracks left, lets do another ... for the fans, its great, but do we really want just a lot of songs, I DONT,  I love buying an album, listening through it and then realizing its a classic. I have 7 of those albums

Dre - Chronic & 2001
Snoop - Doggystyle
Warren G - Regulate
Kurupt - Streetz a Mutha
Eminem - MM LP
Nas - Illmatic

its probably just me, I like Daz material, there really isn't a Daz song though that really turns me on, its a good listen then its off, its like the new Bone albums, they sit and collect dust ... to me, Daz is just trying to get his name everywhere ... soon you'll be buying Cheese in the grocery store with Daz's face on it, Milk made by Daz Dairy Products, youll have dogg food shaped like DPG paws, pizza with pepparoni shaped paws, I know im carried away here, and Im being kind of hypocritical because I'm a huge Snoop fan and Snoop puts his face everywhere too, but he has proven himself, he has his stuff straight, Daz however is like a survivor (not the show ... well maybe ... oh fuck me, im stupid) he just want's people to know he is there , well to cut this long bullshit short ...

DAZ NEEDS A CLASSIC! HE'S NOT MAKING THEM!

I think this is good and bad:
Good - even though im not a jay-z fan he is selling records and knows how to promote new artists. Also, more importantly, if Daz starts selling well and getting on TV it will attract more love to West Coast hip hop and could open doors for other w/c artists.

Bad - I had a lot of respect for Daz as he was trying to do his thing independent, which is hard as fuck to do. He didnt need Snoop, didnt need Dre, didnt even need death row. But now hes back to being a labelmate. What happened to "Tryna sign Daz, nigga Daz'll sign you"?

But anyway, do your thing Daz, its all gravy as long as he keeps his music DOPE wherever he goes.

Funny i thought about this at some point last nigyt (while i was stumbling along the river with a rubber chicken burger)

It will be interesting to see how he goes.

even snoop said that he would sign to a major/bigger label than doggystyle to get more scrilla in 'to blow up one more time'

everyone (including me) said he should sign to Doggystyle which a part of me still thinks he should to be with everyone else but at the same time it is just like how the Row used to be. right now on Doggystlye there are TOO MANY al-stars and everyone is wanting to put out albums which just can;t happen all at once, so i can see why he moved to roc-a-fella (even tho it kinda makes me sick to my stomach to think about it).
maybe daz just did this so he can put out a cd soon and actually get some DISTRIBUTION that he cant get from his own DPG Records.  HOPEFULLY he doesnt put out a album that is all watered down with Jayz and Bleek and them, i still want to see him DPGin' it with his boyz

we'll all have to wait and see tho won;t we??[glow=color,strength,width][/glow]

I hear ya Stew, and your my dogg and all, but you don't become great by signing to the top label, you do it by making dope ass records, im sorry but Daz isn't doing that. If a record is dope as fuck the believe it, it will catch on like fire ... just like Kurupt's Streetz is a mutha, it was cool and then all of a sudden it just caught steam and blew up. Daz needs a great album, not a label, he has a label already ... he has that deal where he can come out with records every tuesday ... he just needs a dope album!

i aint trippin cuz i know Daz is straight gonna bring heat....Daz did the smart thing, he needed more support, DPG Records independantly wasnt moving as efficiently as possible, with Roc-A-Fella he has promotion, distribution and strong labelmates....Even though he will make less to the dollar he will be pushing more units for sure...but than again none of  this has been confirmed definately.  also i think Daz already has 3 classic albums under his belt, Dogg Food, RRGB, and RAW.  whateva....well see how this all works out...its all one bigg papa chase...

now you know...since DAZ is  going to go major with Roc a fella...and universal is the distributor(they own def jam)

and you know Suge Bitch Knightengale, has unreleased material from the early dogg pound days.......i expect him to release a dogg pound cd right before daz comes out...or some unreleased daz songs..so he can make money off of the anticipation of daz on the r o c.

makes you wonder..exactly..how many unreleased material suge has from the early deathrow days........

as long as its not Dre produced they can use it.... but they could probably redo the beats

arent they supposed to dropping a kurupt compilation because of that court case with his ex-managers?

i think there is a good side and then there is the bad side to those whole Faz/Roccafella deal..

the good: Daz gets distribution and finally has the chance to make a name for himself

the bad: Jay-Z will probably rape the CD.

but i remember when people found out Dre would produce Xzibit's album... alot of people said he sold out and that the album would be too mainstream... that turned out fairly wrong and the album was pretty tight.

i think the situation is the same with Daz and Roccafella... hopefully Gay-Z and his ass raping roster will stay off most of the songs, the most i would allow without being personally pissed off is 3-4 tracks if the album has about 16 or so...

as long as Daz keeps it gangsta like he always has, the album will be good... but if this turns out bad, i will never buy another Daz cd again.. and that hurts me to say that because he is one of my favorites, overall i say FUCK how many records you sell, its about how good your albums are.. and RAW is classic in my eyes.

The cd  will have atleast someone from the roc on it. Daz would probably love to produce jay-z. He'd be getting more dough then he did at the row.

ok, now Daz signin iz aight wit me.  even though, like Kurupt said, "Tryin ta sign Daz nigga Daz'll sign u, and when we hit tha west this iz wut we gonna do...."  wut happened wit that?  i guess cuz Kurupt said that Jigga wuz coo wit him.  but we'r talkin about Daz, not Kurupt.
1 thing i don't agree wit happenin iz a DPG album on Roc-A-Fella.  that would be straight up whack.  u sure about that info there Now_I_Know?  cuz seriously i hope ur juss gankin my chain cuz that'z 1 thing i never wanna c happen.
Daz aint sold out, as long as he has good material it'z all good wit me.  but if Tha Dogg Pound signz Roc-A-Fella, then they sold out.

well Pac sort of held the West together, cept for the ones he was beefin with (namely Dre) .. i think if Pac would still be here, Death Row would still be on top cuz things wouldn't have been the same... Snoop would have probly left anyway, cuz he knew what was good for him(fuck the haters).

but i agree, the day a Dogg Pound album drops on Roc-a-fella is the day i hope someone put's a hit on Gay-Z.

who is to say Daz couldn't have signed with Snoop or even DRE!! they ain't beefin no more, and i think Daz with Eminem on 2 tracks would not only sell better then Jay-Z on 2 tracks, but it would sound better... cuz Eminem whips the fuck outta Jay-Z on the mic, white or not.

when you really think about it, Aftermath would have been a great place for Daz to go if Dre would want him, which i'm sure he would... Dre wouldn't need to produce the beats, hell he probly wouldn't have to do much at all for a Daz album, slap Eminem in the Outro of his single and you got 4x a platinum album! LOL

damn, i just covered alot of topics in one post.. lol, sorry i often trail off like this...
