Don't worry though, the Royals will fade back into oblivion soon enough just like you're used to. That's why I have to make all the threads I can, now. Come on man... I know its early, but let me atleast enjoy this a little while it lasts... we've been the worst team in baseball for a decade.
Just as long as you don't really believe it will lead to anything I'm just messing with you. Its good to see the Royals doing something worth talking about. Its sad to see teams like the Royals, who have so much history in the league, be run into the ground by greedy owners/horrible GMs.

Baseball has no market sharing, salary cap, and other such systems like football and basketball that even the playing field. Look at football, the Chiefs are always a competitive team financially, and it doesn't matter that they are in a small market. But when it comes to baseball we are always playing teams with double and triple the spending power. Still.. Royals owners and GM's are partly to blame. The Royals had Ewing Kaufman as an owner during the 70's and 80's when they were good. He died in the 90's and one of the owners of Wall-Mart took over (David Glass) and Royals have sucked ever since and haven't spent any money. Well, before last season they picked up a great general manager from Atlanta's system named Dayton Moore. He gives us our best chance to do anything.
Actually before you guys drafted Alex Gordan it was known in baseball you guys didn't draft the best available players b/c you didn't want to pay any signing bonuses. So you drafted guys that really weren't anything special in hopes to turn a turd into a diamond.
