He's still a little bitch....

lol

Naw, but he deserved it this year. I thought him and Paul were neck and neck. But, I think the Lakers coming in first put him over the top. And for all the nutriders...this isnt necessarily "overdue". Kobe had some great seasons over the last few years....but this is the first time his TEAM has actually been a force in a long time. The years when Nash, Dirk, etc were winning it...their teams were one of the favorites to win the title going into the playoffs. This is the first time a Kobe led team could say the same. If the Hornets had won 42 games this year....do you think Paul would have been one of the favorites to win MVP, no. But anyways, good shit Kobe.

Isn't the MVP the player most valuable to their team? Kobe shouldn't be penalized because he played with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown as primary starters for 2 seasons. The fact that he carried those teams to the playoffs was enough to make him MVP in '07 and definitely in '06. And he shoulda' won it in '01, '03, and '04 as well.

Yes, the MVP is about who the most valuable player to their team is. No, it never gets decided SOLELY on that criteria. Its always decided based on how your team does too. Is it a coincidence that the MVP (in most sports) gets decided based on how good your team does? Why should the rules change for Kobe?

That's the thing. There is no set criteria! Kobe shoulda' been collected MVPs...Just admit it.

Your teams success is almost ALWAYS factored into the voting. Why should that be any different for Kobe? The MVP of the finals wont go to a player on the losing team either. Thats how it always is, there is no special circumstance just for Kobe lol

Okay, but that Lakers team WAS successful for what they had. I'm tryna figure out why Kobe would be penalized on an individual award due to the circumstances he was placed in? He did the most with what he had, and that should be enough to win him MVP. I know the journalists don't see it that way, but that's how the MVP SHOULD work IMO.

I've seen plenty of dads kiss their daughter like that, in public no less. As long as it's a little girl, no problems. Now when she's hitting 13, there might be some issues.

That kiss is a BEAUTIFUL kiss from a father to his 4 years old baby daughter.
I know you can't understand it, cause you don't have a baby princess too (i do).
But you will.

He's not raping her!

What's the fucking problem? Can't a father kiss her baby daughter? When i say to my daughter "Come on, give me a kiss baby!" she does the same thing. Every 4 years old babies in the world actually kisses their fathers and mothers this way. And you probably did it to to your parents, when you were 4. It's not scandalous at all. The scandalous thing is that people can't recognize good things from bad things no more. A daughter showin love to his father is something good.

I'm not joking: you'll understand the real meaning of "love" when you'll have a kid.

And trust me, there's nothing porno and nothing wrong in that kiss. You'll realize it.

Im with you on that I feel the MVP shouldnt REQUIRE your team to be a contender for the title....or a favorite to win it. All I'm saying is that it has been that way every other year, for every other player, in damn near every other sport. So to say Kobe should have won the MVP in other years....would mean the same thing for a lot of other players who didnt win it because their team wasnt as successful as another players.

The MVP in the NBA wasn't always awarded this way.

Yeah some people take their Kobe hate way too far. Dude is just giving his daughter an innocent kiss on the lips. Its not like he's frenching her and groping her.

The father/daughter bond is what keeps girls off of the stripper pole..... When I look at that pic of Kobe and his daughter, it's a beautiful thing. I don't have a daughter but I do have little nieces that are like the joys of my life.
