One of the founding members of Hip Hop group Onyx, Fredro Starr's career has sustained well past that of most rap stars. Fredro continues to blaze his own trail in the entertainment business. Part of a new phase in Fredro's career includes building a multi media empire, boasting the best in music and film.

On June 3, 2008 Fredro Starr will premier a documentary about one of Hip Hop's legends, Jam Master Jay. 2 Turn Tables and a Microphone, was produced by Starr and Stephon "Phonz" Watford, Jam Master Jay's cousin. The documentary, which also stars 50 Cent, Russell Simmons, Rev. Run, LL Cool J, Stick Fingaz and Jermaine Dupri, will premier at the 2008 Hollywood Black Film Festival in Los Angeles.

"Jam Master Jay was one of the greatest of all time. It was very important to create a documentary that reflected all that he contributed to Hip Hop," Fredro Starr said when asked about producing the documentary. "Jay put me in the game. If it wasn't for Jay I wouldn't be here".

Following the premier of 2 Turntables and a Microphone, Fredro Starr will return to work finishing up the film, A Day In The Life. Starr will also begin production on two television projects, the first of which is a brand new talk show for the ION Network, set to premier this Fall.
