So True. When I talk wit my cousin about west coast rappers and I mention ya boy, crooked I, etc he thinks they dont exist, that I'm just making up some names lol.
lets be honest besides the internet and in their respective regions they're not really known, so I'd certainly not expect to see them in a vote prepared by MTV.
They could have put at least G-malone. Certified is on regular rotation; I'm always surprised when I hear it on the radio. It's a big achievement when a west coast artist get his music played in other states' radio stations, therefore Glasses deserved to be on the list. Plus, I dont watch much TV but I guess he must be the only wc artist (besides snoop of course) whose video airs on MTV/BET.

that's how I got into music. I got Doggystyle and started checking out albums by the featured artists on there. then I started to peep the whole west and to this day, I never watch MTV. I never really have. they only have that alty crap on there anyway. BET always plays the same gay ass Soulja Boy crap. since when is dancing around with stupid clothes on and wearing stupid chains kool? shit is just sickening. Soulja Boy makes Lil Wayne look half decent. fuckin clowns.
