Maybe you would have to hear it to understand.  It's just funny because "Deep Cover" is supposed to be this hard core gangsta rap song, and Mos Def is talking about somebody like Puffy remixing it to make an R&B track and Mos sings it R&B style like "1-8-7"... You get it?  Like imagine deep cover as a love song remixed by Puffy... still don't get it?   ahhh nevermind, it's not funny when you have to explain.
