Honestly...top 5 picks are getting MAJOR money. If your team gets a top 5 picks this year...better hope they dont get one next year cuz they're gonna have to cough up some big dough

That's why I'd rather have 2 lower first round picks then a top 5. How can you manage your cap when your paying rookies over $10 million a year?

It's fucking ridiculous.  Jake Long...never played a snap in the NFL...is, I believe, the highest paid lineman in the league.

Unfortunately, I don't know what they can do to change it.  It'd be nice if they had a system like the NBA where they get a rookie contract and then can sign a max deal later.  That would be much better for all the teams....of course agents and the players will bitch....
