Same here. There's no need to judge people because they don't feel the INC or other really commercial rappers. It's like alot of them do nothing different or better than the originators, if I want to listen to some gangsta rap with a g-funk tinge i'll listen to the real originators like Warren G, Dre, Snoop, ATL, 2Pac etc, the ones that did it right, the classic stuff. I don't need to listen to recycled stuff, why should you when you have the original stuff. Thats whats so great about hip-hop, you don't need to keep listening to new stuff, it's not like pop where things fade out, there's alot of classic material in hip-hop thats still fresh to this day. And alot of the older artists are still making that type of material today, so thats the new stuff I like to bump.
As for Ras Kass, he hasn't gone gangsta, if you listen to "Home Sweet Home" which isn't exactly old you'll hear him spit these lines: "Don't wear no fucking back-pack, I ain't no gangsta rap, just a normal ass ni@@a tryna make some snaps". He's just doing his own thing, and real hip-hoppers can appreciate that, you don't have to be a stereotypical 'back-packer'.
