I feel qualified to engage in this discussion.

First off: I was really impressed by the Dutch. Granted, they were lucky a whole bunch of times, but that was a great game and they were obviously the better team.

Secondly: SIAMO CAMPIONI DEL MONDO, and that won't change before 2010...even if the squadra loses against Romania (don't think so) and France (God beware), leaving this tournament with 0 points and totally humiliated, they'll be world champions for another 2 years.

As for Germany '06, the Italians were the best team after that shaky performance against Australia...which is typical. Before that they were subpar...and that's what happens pretty often, Italy getting a bad start and then making it pretty far. Also, I think the Dutch team is great, but they're also good at doing the opposite, getting a great start and then fucking up. Just like the Spanish who were really impressive today...we'll see
