I'm probably wrong, But I didn't Quik start the whole "indian sample" thing?
I can't think of any songs that used a sample like that before addictive...

There's quite an old remix of "Paid In Full" that uses an indian sample, it's the same beat Nas used for his "Stillmatic" freestyle. Both were released before "Addictive".
