He's not saying you can't gamble. He's just advising against it, because it's a rigged form of entertainment. Gambling, ALWAYS comes out in favor of the proprietors... or else they wouldn't be in business. How do you think they afford all that gold, the beautiful fountains? Caesers Palace was BUILT off of the money of regular, everyday people who came there and lost. Like you said, people should have the choice. But ultimately, if YOU hit it big, how many of your brothers will have to lose big to make up for the 100 grand you won? Like he said, Man vs. Man, and that's definately, definately the devil's plan. For you to win 100 grand, that means the casino is up at least a million. It's the devil using man's hungers to hurt other men; there is no free ride in life, there is no big cashout, because in order for you to hit it big, someone else has to lose it big. That's why people can't live up to god's standards, and can't even have prosperous lives, because their brothers hold them down and climb up the ladder over them as often as they can. Peace~
It breaks down to this. The problem with moderation is, you're moving away from god... because to not do it at all would be like god, God doesn't gamble. Moderate gambling might not be a problem, BUT, God would'nt do it even moderately. A Serious gambler is obviously closer to satan, so why even meet him halfway? It's like people that socially drink are Half Alcoholics, as opposed to not being an alcoholic, you know?
We gotta take it a step at a time, LOL. Maybe bad music is next, haha.
I think about gambling like alcohol. If you have a little bit to drink, just because you enjoy the beverage, then it's okay. But once you begin drinking for the sole purpose to become drunk every night then it is absolutely wrong.Same with gambling, if you play because you enjoy the game then it's okay. But once you do it just to hit the jackpot and youend up like gamblers who give away all their belongings then it is wrong.
