what's a decent cam recorder to get?

I'm looking to buy not expensive, but decent around 300 to 400 with good quality.  What's a good optic size like 60x 2000?

I honestly don't know.  My digital cam takes pics and can film movies.  The res on the movies isn't that great though, but I figure I'm not looking to make awe inspiring documentaries.  Most of the vids I shoot are of completely retarded shit that happens to be going on at the time so it works for that.  Peace.

get a hv20 great quality hd shit..and you should be able to pick one off for about 400 used. Or get the hv10 for abit cheaper, still good.

just get a hard drive cam corder those this are decent plus you can store a bunch of footage. without having to buy a grip of little dvd's or whack ass tapes.

arite, so i went today to best buy and grabbed me a sony sr-57..or some shit like that...it's nice...but haven't really tested out that much today..i'll try tomorrow.
