when it first came out a lot of people said it was a classic.  but after a while a lot of people that said it was a classic said it had little replay value/  so how has every1's opinion changed on stillmatic since it dropped.  when it first dropped i thought it was a classic.  now i dont,  i still think its a great album 4.5/5,  but its not a classic.  i still listen 2 it a lot tho.  i also think it is better than tha blueprint.  i think a lot of people thought it was a classic b/c it was so refreshing to see a realtivily big name rapper have an album not revolve around i am god an fuck bitches every night while im up in tha clubs sippin cris an wearin bling type shit.

im not a nas fan and all of u know that....but really...speaking on terms of a classic....stillmatic is not a classic...nor is blueprint....classics get constant play...like the chronic...it still gets play by everyone...same for doggystyle...stillmatic will be looked at as a good album...so will blueprint....2001 will be looked at as classic...that was the last classic album...but if u want to talk about an underground classic....Street Gospel...Suga Free!!!...that album never gets old...we never have seen another suga free album but Street Gospel still does it for all of us....

"Stankonia", "Stillmatic", and "The Eminem Show" will all be considered classic in the near future, and these all came AFTER "2001"...

Twentytwofifty:
Stillmatic is a classic now.

He came back and showed us everything.  From battle rhymes (Ether), politics (My Country), story telling (Rewind), he mixed it up nice and showed us his all around package.  The production is also above par.  Large Pro did one hell of a job on his two tracks and Primo and the lesser known producers also provided nice backdrops for Nas to do his thing.

Like most people the only track I think should of been left off was Braveheart Party however I could go 1-10 without skipping a track (like Illmatic).

Dope album, best of 2001 for sure.
