One only wonders what Griff could've accomplished if he'd stayed healthy...

And I really hope, and I believe most of all baseball fans agree, that he stayed clean.  I think he did and hopefully he won't get dragged through the mud.

Ruth wasn't even the greatest player in his era, let alone ever. Look up Josh Gibson.

Congrats to Griffey, I remember him in the minor leagues, as the San Bernardino single A team was in San Bernardino in the late 80's, and he had a stop there and they called him Bubba and made mention his dad was Ken Griffey. Dude went on hit a home run into the street... lol... and he was hitting him out the park, literally out of the park and into the streets. Needless to say his stay in San Bernardino was very short lived and now has his number retired by the San Bernardino team.

As for this board. It has it's biased, but in the ToT it's the worst. At least here it's justified. It's like on the music board, put a poll on and Dogg Pound and Game win all day. In sports it's the Lakers. On ToT, news happens that's history making and the only thing you see is Ron Paul people posting the evils of the NAU, which doesn't even exist.

I've read up on Josh Gibson and Babe Ruth >>> Josh Gibson.  Don't let your dislike for white people blind you.

I've loved a white girl or 2...  ;)

Greatest player of all time is Willie Mays... straight up. Maybe even Ted Williams, but Willie Mays IMO is the GOAT of baseball.

Griffey > Bonds
If Jr. didn't have those injury plagued seasons, he would've easily eclipse the 700 hr. mark by now. Look up Griffey's numbers in his twenties, in comparsion to Bonds in his twenties, no contest. Then throw in the steroids factor and Bonds couldn't hold a candle to Griffey's career or talent. But I fucks with Barry though (No Homo). Babe Ruth LOL. Dude was a bum. He didn't even play against the best competition of his time.
are you people that dumb and slow...lol...

Ken Griffey is almost impossible to root against, he has always played hard, and the injuries have been unfortunate. Most people say he never juiced because he always sat out so long with his injuries, and they were always broken bones and things like that. I hope that he didn't, and big ups to him for 600.

I think a reason these stories went unheard around here were that everything seems out of season except playoff basketball. Baseball is still heating up, but barely any mention has been made here. I didn't see anything here about John Smoltz' injury, the Cubs being in first place, there is a lot of stuff going on, but there isn't as much discussion.
I got a bird's eye view

Bonds>Griffey

I've been saying this since Bonds hat size was normal. Riverside's finest is alway better than someone who just passed by San Bernardino.

Though Bonds and Griffey both had the best swing in baseball throughout the whole 90's, with or without larger hat size.
