HAHAHAHAHAHAHA  Cal Ripken over Stan Musial and Barry Bonds HAHAHAHAH LMFAO!!!  LMAO!!!!!!!! and  Bonds is easily top 5,  any top 10 list without him is not a real list and any knowledgable fan that is not obsessed with hating Bonds knows that, and LMAO again at Ripken top 10 when you dont have Bonds or Stan Musial on your list.  I am sorry but please stick to football Jake because this list is bad.  Also how can you have Ripken and no Ernie Banks or Frank Robinson,  I have never seen Cal on any top 20 or top 30 list let alone top 10,  step up your game.

I just don't know where to rank Bonds*

surely he belongs in the top 10 based on career accomplishments, but pre-steroid Bonds was not a top 10 (or top 15) player ever...so I just decided to leave him off.

besides, the 10 guys I listed hold their own when compared to barry.
(Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, Lou Gehrig, Rogers Hornsby, Josh Gibson, Mickey Mantle, Tris Speaker, Honus Wagner, Willie Mays)

ruth = don't need to explain this one lol.
cobb = best all around player ever, the ULTIMATE competitor, contemporaries of Ty and Babe said Ty was better by a 2/1 ratio....for what its worth
teddy ballgame = I interviewed John Winkin, a college HOF coach who used to work for Teddy Ballgame for 15 years, saying "Joe Dimaggio was the best player, Ted was hte best hitter"
Gehrig = best first baseman ever (not even close), taken by ALS, what a shame.
Hornsby = hit .400 for a span of FIVE years, was a 2nd basemen, hit .358 lifetime
Gibson = negro league's most dominant hitter who was a CATCHER
mickey mantle = not only did he do a good job in succeeding Joe Dimaggio, he was a better player!
tris speaker = best defense Centerfielder ever, was only a notch or two down from Cobb with the bat but held his own (.340 lifetime, #1 all time in doubles)
honus wagner = best shortstop of all time, not even close....also an elite hitter and base runner.  his 1908 season may have been the best year ever (it is statistically)
willie mays = kinda over-rated but top 10 for sure.  probably better than Barry beacuse of playing better D a more important position (just like Speaker)

all 10 guys i'd say are better than Bonds....

OG Hack Wilson

by the way, until 1930 there was a rule than MVP's couldn't be given to the same guy twice

infact they only had the MVP award from 1911-1914 and most of the 1920's had it...very screwy

if they had our MVP system Babe Ruth woulda been MVP in 1919, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1924, 1926, 1927 and 1928...hell maybe even 1930 and 1931 too...

i hate when i hear someone say "Ruth only had one MVP" on tv to argue against him, those dumbasses don't know the rules (i.e. my boy Colin Cowherd)

^^LMAO!  Cmon Hack,  before 1999 and steroids,  Barry Bonds had 400+ home runs and 400+ stolen bases,  3 MVPS and 8 Gold Gloves, he was already top 5 or 10 before any steroids,  and lets remember that the Mitchell Report had steroid users from every team in Baseball,  Bonds was one of many in this era,  the whole era is tarnished,  why blame just Barry?  He is easily top 5 and you can make the argument for top 2 or 3 or hell even 1 for that matter. (even though I take Mays over Bonds in a heartbeat)
