Biggie vs. Jigga
« on: June 27, 2002, 02:49:08 PM »
i see a lot of people arguing over this in the other thread so lets officially see who everyone on this board likes better. I don't even think this is opinion homies, BIGGIE was far superior to jigga in just about every way except for lyrically, but in every other ways biggie was better. voice i think biggies is more unique, jigga sounds like a retard. biggies flow was way better and was adaptable(check notorious thugs), jigga to slow kinda like nas, Biggies story tellin ability was the best ever nuff said, jigga can paint pictures in ur mind but not like biggie could. biggie lyrically was superior to a lot of people in the game even, jay-z very good lyricast and ARGUBLY better then biggie, so i think from the evidence i have proven that biggie is a way better and more gifted rapper then jay-z was or ever will be.

R.i.P. Big Poppa you were truly the G.O.A.T.

Jigga has more than one dope album. Let's see

"Reasonable Doubt"
"Vol. 1"
"The Dynasty: Roc La Familia"
"The Blueprint"

That's four dope albums... but if your definition of "dope" is classic, then they had one each. Back to the topic, Jigga comes close, but Biggie is the better MC.

Peace

actually i was talking about Biggie having one dope LP... as far as Vol 1, it was average, and Dynasty was trash to me.... Blueprint, eh.  it was nice a couple of times but i havent missed it since hearing it in December.  I'd rather listen to his unplugged LP.

i feel , overrall biggie was a better rapper, but still you can't dismiss jigga like that compared to BIG mainlly for the reason their styles r\were completelly differend...BIG was that typa rapper to paint a picture, to put you into his story, Jigga on the other hand can also paint shit, may be not as graphiclly as BIG did(i don't believe anyone to this day can..when it comes to this biggie really topz anyone who comes into mind without a doubt) but Jigga has\had a better way wit words in general, if we'z talking bout vocabularry, or bout effortless use of amazinglly sharp and "on point" metaphores and smilies without leanin away (not even by a bit) from the focus of the track...still , BIG was a no doubt amazing lyricist, and an amazing rapper and overall i think he topz JiGGA, mainly thanx to his verbal-graphical skillz which no one could challange...

I'm not a huge fan of either, but i'd prolly go with Biggie. Biggie came with a classic debut and literally blew alot of heads away, and that also lead to many calling him the G.O.A.T, thats powerful. Jigga on the other hand can be impressive at times, but average at the most imo. He can write, I give him that, but he lacks in everything else imo. Nothing Jigga has recorded has touched R2D imo, not even "Reasonable Doubt" which to me is Jigga's best, so that right there says alot.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
