I can't really tell if they are for real yet.  I've seen them play a few times and they looked great but then again I really think the Jays made them look like that.  If I had to bet I think they'll finish like 83-79.
I'm pretty damn sure Baltimore is over achieving and will fade to the cellar where they belong.

The AL East is a very tough division.  I expect the Yankees to heat up as the weather does and if the Jays can get make a move for a LF/DH, get to full strength and start hitting they could be a real threat with their excellent pitching.

you do if they suck or are blocked ;)

1. We know that they didn't suck.

jackson with the dodgers: 75.5 IP / 5.34 ERA / 1.55 WHIP / 48 Ks / 1.2:1 K/BB
and i take it back, navaro was decent..but martin is much much better.

If you take into consideration that Edwin Jackson, at the time, would be a 6th starter, or a mop up reliever...that's not sucking.  Sold low...way too low.

Half of the season is over and these fuckers are still sticking around the top of the division, 17 games over .500 and they are beating Boston right now.   :(
This AL East is DEADLY.

but look how long its taken them to develop into "something"...sure, in 10 years it COULD end up looking like a bad trade..but right now its too early to call it a 'horrible trade'.
LOL you are as funny as george carlin

if the Mets had Kazmir in their rotation in 2007 they dont choke at the end of the year

hell you cna argue if the Mets have Kazmir in 2006 maybe they don't lose to the Cardinals in the NLCS

what did the mess get in return?  NOTHING!!!  victor zambrano = worthless

mets got RAPED.  the "what if's" will always occur, Kazmir would have easily put them over the Phillies

They keep getting it done, and I hope they can continue and beat out the Yankees and Red Sox, I'm tired of both of those teams. The AL East is no joke though, every single one of those teams would probably win the NL West, at least how they are playing right now. The Rays have had some decent talent for a while, but they finally got the right lineup and good pitching to go with it, and they aren't backing down. They have speed on the base paths, play excellent defense, and have a nucleus that could be around for a while.
