DUBCC - Tha Connection > Outbound Connection

Racism evident in Cam'ron's music

(1/9) > >>

KVB:
I'm shocked y'all... I was recently bumping Cam's new album, and I would have said it was pretty tight. But my opinion changed when I heard these lines from track 4, called "Live My Life" featuring Daz. Read this:

"I'll be damned if I work for some white cracker (shit)
White batter, prize in the pack, fiends love
They hug it, call it Cracker Jacks, KILLA
Where the crack is at, watch me get dem dice
Throw 'em on, let me live my life"

Obscene, discriminating lyrics... it's like Eminem would have said "Fuckin' nigga" in his raps, totally unacceptable... I suggest nobody here buy this Cam'ron album ( which I regret to have:(), or even better, don't support him at all... abandon his music. At least that's what I've done.

Peace

Trauma-san:
On "Git Up, Git Out" on outkast's first cds, Andre starts his verse off "They tell me I should vote... Why? Ain't nobody black runnin' for president, Just Crackers"

LOL

Trauma-san:
Not to mention, everybody's favorite

"So break the white man off somethi'n lovely, I don't love him so them can't love me" - Snoop Dogg

KVB:

Really... amazing, I actually got that album. Guess I never perceived Andre saying that. On the other hand, I can understand him. He was most likely the victim of racial discrimination and oppression in the South in his youth. He just needed to release some aggression. He is forgiven.

S.G.V.:
does anyone find it funny though?...cuz imagine if a white or latino rapper actually said something similar about blacks?....that would be considered uttterly racist and it probably would get banned....but oh well thats how life is....
