We will see. I doubt it. I mean both Maggette and Ginobili ain't top defenders (LOL), and Barry and Finley aren't defensive stoppers too. I doubt Popovich can live with this situation for a whole season without exploding. But hey, Corey can def score a lot of points for them. They should change their system and playbook, but who knows.. maybe Greg thinks it's about time to do it.

he's not going to make the spurs any better. i think.....yes they'll get some more scoring from him but he'll be a defensive liability IMO
The way you beat a defensive minded team like the spurs is attack their weak zones.....and having maggette in the line up is their weak spot.

then like i said, duncan had the last good year of his career in my opinion.....he's had the shortest prime of any big man IMO, and he's only going to get slower. duncan needs another big on the side of him (which i don't see happening) to maintain success and relieve some of the low post pressure.

manu will still be good but, he's been losing a few steps
bowen is still good but he's 37 and i don't see him holding up much longer on the d

when you look at the spurs and where they're heading ^^^^^^^^^ i don't see maggette being the answer.

maggette on the spurs....so what, duncan just had his last good year IMO

lol

Laugh all you want, but Duncan has already been subsiding.

lol you Kobe fans. There is a difference between subsiding, and sacrificing your numbers for the better of the team. The Spurs (as any team would) are a better team when there is a balanced attack from their big three. Not all superstars are concerned with their own stats more then the team. The team is better when Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli are all in the mid 20's...rather then Duncan scoring 40 and Parker and Ginobli with 15 each. They havent had the firepower on the perimeter this year and that obviously hurt them. But letting Duncan draw double teams in order to set up wide open shooters...sounds like a good gameplan. A better one then handing your superstar the ball and expecting him to just make a play. Without a doubt Duncan could average 30/game almost every season. And without a doubt, the team would suffer. Their team isnt one star, and a bunch of role players. Its 3 all stars...and role players.

duncan hasn't been the 'force' he's been over the last few years. i mean watch some of those Suns/Spurs games shaq was beating Duncan off the dribble on a couple of possessions, offense and defense.....i mean shit that's sad when shaq (the second oldest person in the league) is beating you. it didn't go THAT noticed because the spurs won that series. But This season for duncan was the last high note  in his career IMO. unless they get Ben Wallace or some big dude that can take ALOT of pressure for duncan i don't see him being that effective.
