For a future 1st round pick,  excellent trade for the Warriors,  they are looking pretty good right now,  they are going to be fine without Baron.

We will be better with the current line up. Chris Mullin is no dummy, I don't know anyone in the bay that was worried.

wait didnt williams sign to clippers this year tho?

You don't know anybody in the bay then.

And no, this year's team won't be better than last year's.

How is it an excellent trade? It's a lateral trade at best, unless dude really pans out...Williams was considered a steal at 22 and hasn't even lived up to that yet.

He's pretty good when he actually gets 20+ minutes. I forget what the numbers were but IIRC it was around 15 and 9. He's not a star but he is gonna be solid.

^^Look at his game log:

Even when he's getting minutes, he's still been very inconsistent. I mean, no doubt he has the skill, but can he channel that to become a starting quality PG? Lets see...

Me too man. I really don't want Monta and Stephen Jackson handling the ball no more than 50% of the time.

They are talking about him being a backup PG, Ellis, Jackson, and Maggette should all be starting. The pick is lottery-protected and not until 2011, so it will never end up being a top-10 pick. He is still young enough to develop, so I don't mind them taking the small risk. I still think they are going to make at least one more move this offseason, Mullin has been trying to keep them active.
