Ortiz and Bay can do nothing to stop surging Royals!

Forgive me, because I'm a Royals fan, so I have to take advantage of even the smallest excuse to talk some shit...

The Royals have won 7 of their last 8 and are flirting with .500 (which is equivilent to the Red Sox chasing a championship around here).

The Royals won their series against the first place White Sox and now they defeated The Red Sox tonight 4-3. 

Gil Mesh, our highest paid pitcher (seond highest paid on team behind Guillen), has been undefeated since the All-Star break and dominant in winning each of his games.  He was too much for Ortiz and Bay and Boston really missed Manny Ramirez tonight.

Plus the Royals have the best young closer in the game Joakim Soria who closed out the Red So for the win!

And btw, the latest on the Jose Guillen watch... he's  stirred a lot of controversy here, walking to first base, walking to fly balls, lack of hustle caused the fans to boo him this year, but he claims he's been playin injured and said "I don't care about the fan!"  But Royals fans will overlook all of that because this guy is on his way to another 20+ home run and 100+ RBI year which is what we paid him to do.

Yankees are comin up in the schedule very soon...and the Royals have had the Yankees number this year.  I bet you we win two of three again from you guys.

Although I will give the Yankees credit for one thing, Joakim Soria "the Mexicutioner" suffered his only loss of the year against the Yankees.  He pitched in every game and saved two and lost one in their last 3 game series.

But lookout for Avilles when we play ya'll.  At .340 he's going to end up being the best hitting shortstop in the majors this year.

Also Jose Guillen is having another big year, Billy Butler is a great young talent, Dejesus is a stud and even our 5th starter Kyle Davies has looked sharp this year.

So even though your payroll is triple the size of the Royals we are gonna win the season against the Yankees, just watch!
