You are an idiot. That isn't a prison where people get sent for merely protesting.

It is just a place where law enforcement is going to detain protestors who get violent, resist arrest, etc. Considering there are going to be tens of thousands of people protesting at the Democratic National convention, the police have to try to maintain some kind of crowd control.

The fact that you would try and compare that to the Chinese government arresting journalists and people waving banners shows how stupid you really are.
