I would use the information you supplied but I'm from the UK so that information is no use to me. Anybody gots a UK version?

whoopitywhoop:
the above information was copied out of a really old book,,,,,,,,,,,yes I know it costs more,I just wanted the guys in here to understand what it is they are talking about,..........see it is one thing to be a fan and quite another to have an idea of what those stars go through,.........they read the info I out up,they change immedaitely,......info once gotten doesn't die but grows into something. It might not always be thought about but they will not be the same fans...........also............I have my own record label.......and it really I am telling you is not that hard to set up,but maybe it is because I have freinds in Ruthless,Aftermath,Priority and Cubevision that it was easier for me then others........who knows?

same here, I have people in recording labels throughout the world. From australia to canada. From the online business in taking control of a whole lot of beat makers, to Interscope. Our primarly newest distributor is Def Jam. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin under Ruckess Entertainment, old parent company, which also opened on the tour with Twista etc.. Averaging around 2-3 million a year depending on who which when where business practices etc.. Hit top 200 in independent labels across america as Shotup Records/Untouchable Productions.. Nothing to brag about, some people make it others don't. If you going to tell them enough for where they to start, let them have the full truth, all the details etc..

Let them wonder and think, the more you tell these people things that ain't tru, the more compitition you will have in the future..

Good luck in business.

well the book is from 92 or 93 and to tell you the truth I am glad you said something cuz I was thinking that I should put up something a little more recent...... ;D :D :o :-[ oh you know like something from this century.......... :-[ geez anyway........You said you knew of a book that would give me something more recent to show them?Have you ever read "confessions of a record producer?"oh my god is it good it was written by Moses Avelon........I have never laughed or felt as good as when I read that book........when I emailed him I told him he should write books like Stephen King writes em........I mean he is that good,,,,,,anyway I think I will recommend a few books to these guys............

and I am not worried about competition..... ;D 8)

klord:
lol yeah but what these people dont' know, are the truth behind ASCAP and BMI..
That's why I make sure my artists, and myself are not a part of them. Rather, I collect the royalities and distribute them myself.
