all these labels are scared of failure like if these guys dont go platinum its a flop. isnt some money better than no money. they already fucked up the little buzz they had with the akon single

They're only in the business to make money.  They're not going to invest alot of money if they think they're only going to get back a little bit.  As sad as it is, alot of the Westcoast artists don't have mass appeal.  Sure, to us they drop dope music but the rest of the world might not feel the same way.  That's why you see all of Malone's singles with artists that have major appeal.
