AL Central > Any Other Division
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:47:33 PM »
At least in terms of excitement. I don't recall how many times in the past 5 years where the Twins and either the White Sox or Detroit take it down to the wire, but it has been quite a few and this year is no different.

As of right now, the White Sox are leading the division by 1 1/2 games, but they are in the 9th inning against the second place Twins and losing 3-2 and there is still one more game in the series. This is fall baseball at it's best. Go Twins! The southside of Chicago is shitting their pants right now.

Half of the AL east is just a bunch of roided up, overpaid crybabies. There should be no reason why the Yankees aren't making the playoffs with the money they spend on their supposedly A-1 players.

On the other hand, the Twins, who everyone had counted out and dogged even before the season started, threw a bunch of rookies and players with limited experience in the majors onto the field and wound up in 1st place with three games left. Even after busts in the rotation, they still have 5 starters over .500 with 10+ wins all 27 years old or younger. Liriano is even getting back to form after Tommy John surgery. And to top it off, the Twins just took 1st place by a 1/2 game this evening after being like 8 out a month ago.

Alexei Ramirez REALLY wants to go to the post season, ey?  lol  he hit a grand salami in the 6th to break the 2-2 tie against the tigers.

1 game playoff vs the twins tomorrow.

How pathetic did the Tigers turn out to be?  They were picked to go very deep and ended up finishing dead last in the division, unreal.

The Tigers have some problems they need issued. They imploded hard.

Chicago should have had this thing locked up a month ago when the Twins we getting their asses kicked on a 26 game roadtrip. I don't want to get my hopes up for tomorrow, but the Twins always seem to find a way.

...then they wind up losing in the playoffs. By the time they move into their new stadium in 2010, they'll be a force.

^^Twins got screwed, they should of had home field in this game, they won the season series from the White Sox, that should of determined home field for this game not a coin flip

DAMN IT! >:(

One run may have beaten the small ball playing Twins, but it won't beat the Rays. The Sox are going to get stomped.
